This initiative is presented by the Beaufort West Municipality and is offering an opportunity for unemployed youth to be Building Controllers to enhance the Infrastructure Services capacity within the local municipal area. The criteria for the training opportunity are as follows:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma: Civil Engineering/ Town Planning *Certificate/Building Science/ N5 Building/ or any Civil building related field of study with Matric (Grade 12
- Clear criminal record (SAPS)
- Aged between 20-40
- Unemployed
- Must reside in the areas of post availability: Please attach an SAPS Adress Confirmation or letter from your ward councillor to confirm your residential address.
- ID book/card
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a written diagnostic assessment conducted by the Beaufort West
- Municipal Infrastructure Services Department: Planning Design and Building Control and ifsuccessful, will qualify for the internship programme.
DIRECTION TO CANDIDATES:
Candidates must be physically fit. All applications must be completed on the prescribed municipal application form and must be accompanied by a cover letter, certified copies of qualifications, ID document. Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a stamped vetting certificate from the South African Police Services (or proof of application). Failure to submit relevant documentation will disqualify your application.
