INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME: ROAD ACCIDENT FUND

PURPOSE

The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work experience. Applications are invited for the State Attorney Support Internship (X2) in our Cape Town offices from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 23. The Internship program will run for a period of Eighteen months (18). Please apply in the region you are based.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interns will be given practical workplace structured training and on the job training and development, this will be combined with the theoretical training already acquired regarding
  • Delictual Law, Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence.
  • Practice Management
  • Service and filing of documentation at Court
  • Attendance at Pre-Trial Conferences and compilation of Pre-Trial Minutes
  • General administration work
  • Drafting of correspondence, pleadings, notices, affidavits and applications
  • Observation of and assistance for State Attorneys at Court
  • Service and filing of notices
  • Judgment monitoring and case outcomes reporting
  • Filing Bills of costs upon receipt as well as assistance in opposing taxations
  • General administrative work on LMS

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certified Grade 12/ NQF 4 level certificate.
  • Certified NQF level 7 Bachelor’s degree in law
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript applications with no academic transcript will not be considered.
  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Your CV and motivational letter
  • Applicants must be unemployed, was never employed in the field of the post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post previously.
  • The applicant must not have previously served as an intern.
