JOB DESCRIPTION:

An Artisan Instrument Mechanician supports production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes and utilising all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant.

FORMAL EDUCATION

  • Grade 12 with Maths, Science, English as subjects
  • NQF 4 Occupational Trade Qualification
  • Red Seal (Wish)

MIN EXPERIENCE

  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience on petro-chemical equipment (added advantage)

GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING SYSTEM:

  • SIEMENS S7 Knowledge (WISH)
  • DCS knowledge
  • ESD/SIS knowledge
  • Electrical & Instrument Loop drawings detail interpretation 
  • Read and interpret MFD (Mechanical flow diagram or Process flow diagram)
  • PLC fault-finding hardware & software 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver’s license (minimum code 8)
  • Have own transport
  • Willingness to perform standby duties
