DESCRIPTION:
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is on an alternative recruitment drive for Spray Painter (Constable) x5 posts.
Compulsory Generic Requirements
The requirements of the posts are as follows:
- Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Be in possession of at least a valid light motor vehicle driver’s license
- Must have no previous convictions or pending criminal / departmental or civil cases
- Must not have tattoo marks which will be visible when wearing any SAPS uniform
- Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening and fingerprint verification.
Job Post Requirements
- Relevant valid Trade Test Certificate in the field of the post, in terms of the Skills Development Amendment Act 37/2008
- Experience in the relevant field of the post will be an advantage.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and mix paint
- Respray vehicles
- Remove and dispose of unserviceable parts
- Clean tools and equipment after use
- Ensure safe working environment
