PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing financial literacy materials aimed at empowering diverse audiences. The intern will assist in creating educational content designed to enhance understanding of financial concepts among a range of learners, from beginners to more advanced individuals, aligning with Discovery’s mission to foster healthier, financially knowledgeable communities.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
All tasks must be completed accurately, efficiently, and to the set standard.
- Collaborate with learning and development specialists to design and review financial literacy content, ensuring clarity, relevance, and accessibility for different learning levels.
- Research and compile up-to-date information on foundational financial topics, such as budgeting, saving, investing, credit, and insurance, incorporating best practices for financial education.
- Assist in developing various content formats—such as written guides, presentations, infographics, and interactive digital modules—to engage diverse learning audiences.
- Conduct market research on financial literacy needs and trends to inform content that resonates with target audiences.
- Gather and analyse data to support the development of learning materials, case studies, and real-life scenario planning exercises that promote practical financial skills.
- Assist in organizing, updating, and maintaining a database of financial literacy resources.
- Help gather and analyse feedback from users to identify areas for improvement in content effectiveness and delivery methods.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions aimed at enhancing content effectiveness, promoting accessibility, and fostering engagement with financial literacy topics.
- Stay informed on industry trends in financial literacy and personal finance education to bring fresh, innovative ideas to content development.
- Engage with experienced financial educators and content developers for guidance and mentorship, fostering personal and professional growth.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3 year Qualification in a Finance related field
Specific Requirements:
- Not have completed any previous Internships
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30 years.
- Have effective communication skills in the written & verbal English language.
- Possess basic computer skills mainly MS Excel & MS Outlook
