Job Overview:
MTN SA is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Sales Agent within the Sales and Distribution team. This role focuses on achieving sales targets and enhancing customer satisfaction by connecting with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
Mission/Core Purpose:
To drive revenue growth through targeted sales efforts, exceptional customer service, and building long-term relationships. Sales Agents serve as trusted advisors, guiding customers with honesty and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Target Achievement:
- Consistently meet or exceed daily, monthly, and annual sales targets
- Convert leads into activated sales through outbound and inbound campaigns.
- Maintain a strong sales conversion rate.
Customer Satisfaction (CSAT):
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and communicating product value clearly.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by providing accurate information on products, pricing, promotions, and terms
- Maintain a low inflight cancellation rate to foster customer loyalty.
Product Knowledge and Communication:
- Demonstrate expertise in fibre and broadband (LTE) products and services.
- Effectively communicate with customers via phone, web chat, and WhatsApp to build trust and rapport.
Operational Efficiency:
- Keep an organized sales funnel and manage leads to avoid backlogs.
- Collaborate with order fulfillment, product, and marketing teams to optimize the sales process.
Adaptability and Collaboration:
- Work independently with minimal supervision and effectively within a team.
- Be flexible with availability, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Support inbound campaigns as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify sales opportunities and proactively follow up on leads from various sources.
- Seek feedback and refine sales strategies for continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Tools and Systems:
- Skilled in CRM software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel, to manage sales activities.

Qualifications:
- Education: Matric or equivalent; fluent in English.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in a similar sales role (inbound and outbound).
- At least 2 years of recent experience in ISP sales.
- Skills:
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organized.
- Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
