Minimum Requirements
- NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N2 in Engineering studies
- Completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining an Electrician artisan trade certificate as recognised by the MQA
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrician Artisan / Aide /Apprentice within a mining environment.
- Qualified with trade papers (section 13 or 26D)
- Winder experience will be advantageous
- Valid Certificate of physical fitness
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to communicate with people on different levels
- Own Transport as position requires standby
- Drivers License
Duties
- Perform and/or co-ordinate planned electrical preventative maintenance.
- Perform fault finding and ensure the timely repairs and availability of equipment
- Installation and replacement of electrical equipment.
- Maintenance and repairs of all electrical equipment
- Identify and implement service delivery improvement opportunities.
- Perform Inspections in accordance the Mine Health & Safety Act regulations, manufacturing, and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor
- Planning of activities in accordance with production schedules and allocation of resources as required
- Effective communication to relevant stakeholders to minimize production delays
